Hello Everyone. You probably know but we have applied for participatory budget funds for some equipment for renewable energy equipment. Vote at https://acvo.org.uk/vote/ if you live in Aberdeen you can vote for 10 projects, ours is listed under 57North Hacklab. The Black Cat Coop (Krakatoa) is also trying to raise funds for insulation for the building above, if you could throw a vote for them also. Space laser cutter, not really working

Hiya We were trying to do some laser cutting yesterday with the Trotec laser cutter. Unfortunately it seems to not really be working just now. I last did some etching/cutting back at the start of October, but I think it wasn't working a week or so ago either. So I was just wondering if anyone has used it successfully in October or November? If anyone noticed anything different about it or it's software set-up. If so, please reply & let me know. It seems to have an issue with the laser not really firing. Kev and I checked all the obvious things yesterday, with no luck. Anyway, no trauma, just a quick email to say it's not really working, and if anyone had thoughts or ideas about it. Probably best if no-one tinkers with it, or tries to use it, till we've had a bit of time to try to figure it out. Krakatoa Stream Test
