Hiya,
I'll be there, working on some sensor boards and maybe the paper I'm
supposed to be writing.

Hi,
After trying every conceivable way to get a viable 32-bit PPC Linux with
a web browser that can read https:// websites on my iLamp (15" G4 iMac),
I gave up and installed Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.11 only to discover that PPC
Safari has exactly the same problem that I had with Firefox on YDL 6.2!
To cut a long story short, I've now installed the InterWebPPC port of
Firefox under OS X 10.4.11 and this seems to work with most, but not
all, secure https:// web sites. Then, I crashed and burned trying to
listen to BBC Sounds, because there are no suitable codecs available.
I retrieved my iLamp from the HackSpace because I didn't like it just
sitting on the shelf gathering dust and being robbed of its keyboard.
I've now bought two faulty keyboards off eBay, to be returned: The Apple
A1048 is a membrane keyboard and not all of the keys were working on the
two that I've bought. It's a fiddly job to repair the membrane tracks
using a conductive pen and that would cost about the same as a
second-hand keyboard, so I've risked it bought a third one - Fingers
crossed that all they keys on this one will actually work!
If anyone is interested in playing around with Mac OS X 10.4.11 Tiger on
my G4 PPC iLamp then I'll bring it back into the HackSpace. Otherwise,
it's going on eBay soon unless someone at the HackSpace wants it FOC?
Bye,
Tony.

Hi,
The iMac keyboard I bought off eBay arrived with one key broken off and
the [0], [P], [;] and [/] keys not working so I've returned it :-(
Does anyone know what happened to the Apple keyboard I left in the space
with my iMac/iLamp?
@Hibby, the iLamp is working fine, running YDL, using a PC keyboard.
Bye,
Tony.

Hello hackers,
I’ll be in the space tomorrow afternoon Sunday the 27th of August.
I’m going to try and tidy up the camp stuff a little and then I’ll work on some post camp ideas.
I’ll aim to be in about 1300 or 1400.

Hey folks,
Long shot question: as a result of changing jobs, I need to return my NHS
owned HP monitor back to organisation. Years ago I mounted the screen on a
monitor arm, and then hid the stand very well. So well, I can't find it
anywhere now 🤣.
And with that, I need to resort to my internet friends to help me out,
however unlikely the chance that will work. Has anyone on this group
perhaps a spare mount for HP EliteDisplay E232 E242 E202 E222 E240C ? My
monitor is an E242 version.
Thanks,
Wouter

Hi, Midder.
I'll be in fiddling about with BlendOS on the Toshiba Satellite laptop
that Wouter gave me last week.
@Wouter: I got a power supply for £7 off eBay :-)
