Hiya
I was thinking we could make a separated off area within the space for
woodworking and other dusty work.
As a starter, something like...
- pick a 4m x 4m area, perhaps where the wood pile is
- put down lino to protect the carpet
- put up plastic sheeting from floor to ceiling
- have an opening in the sheeting that you could pull aside/open to enter
- put up some half height partitioning, in some portions, to keep the
sheeting away from spinning machine stuff
- put a desk/bench in there
- put the band saw in there
- put a doormat by the entrance, so sawdust doesn't get walked around the
rest of the space so much
- keep a broom, dustpan and bin in there to make it easy to clean up
I'm happy to do the work and get the materials, what do you think? I was
gonna try and flesh out a bit more of a plan at the space this evening.
Cheers
Andy
Hey, how's your day going?
It's tuesday, so as is fairly predictable, it's 57North's weekly open
evening. If you've not been before, come along and see what it's all
about. If you're a regular, see you there :)
Let us know what you've been tinkering with or hacking on. Also, if you
need a lift, just ask on the mailing list here with a reply.
I'll be in from around 7, see you there if you're coming along.
Hi all,
So I've been working on setting up lighting for my AnnePro2, using a program called 'Shine'. I've managed to get my custom lighting set up correctly for a couple of my keyboard layers, but I cannot get the layers which are all one colour (e.g. my Base layer) to display anything at all. The typing aspect works just fine, it's only the lighting which is wrong. I wonder if someone could take a look at my code to see where I might be going wrong? The issue seems to be in my profiles.c file.

Thanks in advance :)

I'll be on my way down to Newcastle, but please look out for the SD card
I think I left at the HackSpace (hope I left at the HackSpace...).
BTW, I know a _lot_ more about u-boot and the Rockchip64 now ;-)
Bye,
Tony.

Hi,
I accidentally left a 32GB SD card at the Hackspace tonight: If you find
it, please hang on to it for me until I return on Tuesday in two weeks.
Thanks,
Tony.

Afternoon all
It's Tuesday, so open day at 57 North.
I'll be in from around 7pm, not sure what's planned, looking at drawing
robots I think. You can see if the space is open from
https://twitter.com/57NorthHacklab.
Are you coming along? Hit reply and let us know what's going on. There is
always the project list on the wiki, to get a bit of an idea of some things
folk are making https://wiki.57north.org.uk/projects/start
It's been really nice, last few weeks, a bit busier with members, guests
and new folk, feeling a bit more like a new old normal.
See you there.
Andy
Hiya
I've maybe mentioned this in the space to a few people, but I've been
working on a wee side project that just launched yesterday,
StreetArtAberdeen. Really weird to sort of finish a side project, not
quite sure what happened there.
It's a online visual and geographical catalogue/gallery of street art in
Aberdeen (yea, I know, the name is a bit self explanatory)
Anyway, it's at https://streetartaberdeen.org/
So, I'm sorry for emailing about this, but I'd love to get some feedback
and any ideas folk have. Moving forward it's meant as a collaborative
project with a good number of contributors. The platform may also be
useful for other things too, so I'm keen to get any thoughts on that too.
It's built using the new version of Joomla, and it's all GPL3, code in
github, OpenData etc.
Some hopefully handy links...

- The system's code in github: https://github.com/SSOFB/StreetArtAberdeen
