Hi
Happy tuesday! Open evening today, come one, come all, we get up to a range
of things on Tuesday nights in our shared space, chatting, programming,
making things, drinking tea, coffee, and the odd can of alcoholic beverage.
We're located at:
Suite H Kettock Lodge
Innovation Park
Campus Two
Bridge of Don
Aberdeen
AB22 8GU
Blurb on getting there is at https://www.57north.org.uk/open-evenings. Hit
the buzzer (Suite H) and someone shall come and rescue you from downstairs
after a wee wait.
Hit back with a reply to share your plans, I'll be along at about 8pm,
anyone heading in before then? Also shout here if you need a lift or
anything.
Cheers
Andy
Hi
I'll be in around 7:30, probably be tinkering with web stuff and
complaining about bitbucket downtime.
See y'all then.

PS, here is an AI generated poem about hacking on Tuesdays, it's not super
terrible, but it isn't great either...
On a Tuesday, crisp and dimly lit,
The glow of screens, a perfect fit.
Fingers dance on the keyboard's face,
In code, I find my sacred space.
A curious quest, a puzzle unfolds,
Through labyrinths of ones and zeroes cold.
Packets whisper secrets untold,
Their trails of data, pure and bold.
The hum of fans, a rhythmic song,
The thrill of righting what feels so wrong.
Not for chaos, not for greed,
But to uncover, to sow the seed.
Scripts are written, exploits run,
Each line a battle hard-won.
Firewalls breached, the barriers fall,
Echoes of triumph in every call.
The clock ticks on, the night grows deep,
But curiosity denies me sleep.
Tuesday fades to Wednesday's hue,
Yet still, there’s more to break and do.
For hacking’s art is more than play—
It’s crafting futures from the fray.
On a Tuesday night, beneath the stars,
I stitch together this world of ours.
Hiya
I'll be along at around 7:30ish. Does anyone need a lift?
Cheers

We're all set - I'm about to head on an adventure to aberdeenshire to get some
essentials and then kenny will make some mac and cheese and we'll head down.
There's a spotify playlist, if you've not seen/added to it, give me a shout on
arrival and I'll share it with you :D
Are y'all coming? What're you bringing?
Cheers!

Heya :)
Happy Tuesday, it's open eve at the space today.
We're located at...
Suite H Kettock Lodge
Innovation Park Campus Two
Bridge of Don
Aberdeen
AB22 8GU ...and there is blurb on finding us on
https://www.57north.org.uk/contact and some more on
https://www.57north.org.uk/open-evenings. Hit the buzzer (Suite H) and
someone will come and let you in after a brief wait.
If you're new, you might want to bring a laptop, and/or something to tinker
with.
If you're not new, ping back a reply to tell us what you'll be up to and
maybe what time you'll be in. I'll be along from around 7:30pm tinkering
with my desktop and printing pictures of dogs in hats.
Does anyone need a lift or anything?
Cheers
I can contribute an air fryer to the cause (and a wee slow cooker, if
that's of any use). This is, of course, contingent on there being good
vegan snacks to put in the air fryer.

Hi,
We have now Fusion360 running on our new desktop computer.
Autodesk Fusion combines CAD, CAM, CAE and PCB into a single, integrated cloud software platform. It includes all the tools that you need to go from design to manufacturing.
We do have a personal use license, which restricts us to a maximum 10 active files at any given time. Once the limit has been reached, a file needs to be deactivated, before a new file can be created. At any given time later, the deactivated file can be activated again.
Fusion is a great tool for designing models, which can be saved into STL files, and then processed in the 3D printing software.

Hello, hi, howdy
Plans are afoot, and to hand, for a hacklab party! Save the date, Saturday
the 7th December, from the afternoon onwards, in the space.
So it's not a christmas party, per se, as that offends the damn atheists,
and we don't want that*. Also, it's not really a doo, as that would
suggest some sort of societal norms, in which case it must be a don't. So
that means it's a Winter Don't, like a Christmas Doo, but more lit, chill,
riz and those sorts of words that use of makes my kids grimace.
Some things...
- A hat competition
- Afternoon hacking
- Evening partaying
- Bring a bottle
- We'll probably order in Pizza for dinner
...more details closer to the time.
Hope you can come. Happy hackmas, see you there :)
*We all know it's really the crazy atheists that start all the wars and
stuff, the non god fearing scumbags!
