Don't mind. Me and Ana will dinner.

I have nothing.

Normal BBQ items. Potato salad sounds nice. Me and Ana will BBQ. We could bring some things.

Me and Ana will bring some keys.

I will do a lightning talk on Delta Chat.

Don't deceive yourself. You can never truly be away from The Computer. It's always watching.
Thanks,
Iain. (Also Ana)

I selfishly like The Mains of Scotstown[1] near me but maybe going into town is better for some of y'all?
> * Provision of BBQ hardware on Saturday
I have a BBQ at Tom's parents' house, I wonder if it's rusty or ok - does anyone have an advance on that? I'd rather we don't buy something for the event or use one of those wee disposables.

I like the idea of going to the tilly butcher[2] nearby and buying stuff as a group with hacklab money instead of everyone bringing along 2 sausages.

All glory to the keysigning party [3]

I can probably pull something together, keeping it short is the hardest part.

They consistently drain my brain and talking to people is better

Hey folks,
It has happened again and rather than worrying about whether it will
continue let us have an open night in the hackerspace
If you've not heard of us, 57North get up to a range of activities on
Tuesday nights in our shared workspace, including (but not limited to)
social contact, programming, manufacturing weird things, consuming sugary
treats and the odd can of alcoholic beverage. Typically we kick off at 1930.
We're located at:
Suite H Kettock Lodge
Innovation Park
Campus Two
Bridge of Don
Aberdeen
AB22 8GU
Instructions for getting in are here:
https://www.57north.org.uk/open-evenings .Hit the buzzer (Suite H) and
someone shall come and rescue you from downstairs after a brief wait.
There's plenty of parking, but if you don't have transport, then get in
touch either here or IRC and someone may be able to help you out! The
number 1 bus comes nearby too.
If you're new, I'd suggest you bring a laptop, and perhaps a project you
want to work on. If you're not new, shoot a reply to the list and tell us
what you'll be up to, and maybe consider bringing a friend. Please mention
a time if you'll be in before me!
We like our space being accessible for all. When visiting, please ensure
you tidy up after yourself, clean any dishes, cups, cutlery and store them
away. There are vacuum cleaners too, for cleaning the floor. If you have
any questions, please ask one of the regular visitors or members for advise.
I will be in today from about 8pm
What are you up to?
Tom

I should be in this evening. Planning to do some poking at options for drawing system/network diagrams. Anybody have any recommendations for that?
Robert

I go the extra mile.
Usually because I missed the turning I was supposed to take.
Hi,
I'm in space now if anyone wants to head in earlier. If you buzz H and I don't hear you, buzz G, I'm doing some work for the charity so might be in that unit.
I am in need of two RP-SMA WiFi antennas, if anyone has those and could bring them in tonight.
Thanks,
Iain.

Hi All,
We are collecting items for the Four Pillars charity shop which will operate on George Street from the 4th to the 9th of August. You can bring these donations to the space tonight, or next Tuesday, and they will be magically transported to the charity shop so you don't have to go anywhere you weren't going anyway.
They are looking for:
• Bric-a-brac
• Toys and Games
• Books
• CDs, DVDs, Vinyl
• Jewellery
• Electronics in good working order (no FPGA dev kits please)
Proceeds of the sale of the items will go to support Four Pillars, an LGBT+ charity operating in the Grampian area and organiser of Grampian Pride.
If you bring items along please let me know and I'll arrange they are transported.
Thanks,
Iain.

Hi,
There are some plans to be doing some patching up and painting of Soap Factory over the next couple of months. If anyone would be able to lend another pair of hands for some time to help with this it would be greatly appreciated.
Dates where stuff will be happening are:
• July 15th (tomorrow, so probably too short notice to rope any of you in for this one).
• July 26th-28th (we have AberLUG meeting in the calendar for afternoon of 27th in this window - can maybe chat about Linux/FOSS while patching walls).
• August 4th-7th
• August 11th-17th
No special skills required—just enthusiasm and a willingness to roll up your sleeves! Even a few hours of your time would make a tremendous difference.
We're also looking for tools and materials if anyone has spares from their own projects:
• Paint rollers and trays (standard size and mini size for painting wood)
• Paint brushes (various sizes)
• Drop cloths/dust sheets
• Roll and Stroll sticky carpet protector (or similar non-branded version)
• Painter's tape/masking tape
• Tubes of readymade filler
• Wall scraper tools
• Sandpaper
• Small tubs for decanting paint and cleaning brushes
• Heavy duty rubbish bags
If anyone is interested in helping please say so in CtC slack or email info(a)codethecity.org with when you'd be available.
Thanks,
Robert

Hey
How's it going? Happy Tuesday, it's open evening at the space today.
As ever, we're at...
Suite H Kettock Lodge
Innovation Park
Campus Two
Bridge of Don
Aberdeen
AB22 8GU
...there is sort of useful info on...
https://www.57north.org.uk/open-evenings
...and...
https://www.57north.org.uk/contact.
Press buzzer H and someone will come and let you in after a wee wait.
Reply if you have any questions, if you want to share your plans, or if
you'd like a lift.
I'll be along around 8, is anyone heading in earlier? Will probably be
tinkering with PHP and wiki stuff.
See you there
Andy
