Speaking of Octopus API, I'm lazy and use
https://github.com/BottlecapDave/HomeAssistant-OctopusEnergy with home
assistant. Probably you already know about it but if not, worth poking
about in his repo as his add-on is very comprehensive.

Thanks Alex. I actually don't know this one. I am only at the start of
journey. I was going to pull the data into influxdb + grafana combination,
and later build a price forecast tool.
Perhaps this page can make my life easier.

It might seem like overkill using home assistant, however, it makes doing
things like that much easier. I have all my live power data (I have one of
those octopus mini things so I can get 1 minute data), prices, saved via HA
into influxdb and connected to grafana. The internet tells me to use
VictoriaMetrics <https://github.com/VictoriaMetrics/VictoriaMetrics> instead
of influxdb as it's "better". A drop in replacement. If you have clamp on
power meters or other devices, HA makes it easy to integrate it all.
Then you can be this guy, PredBat
<https://github.com/springfall2008/batpred>, and make a crazy and
excessively complex system which requires 48 hours of youtube to
understand what's going on. 😅
