Howdy all,
It's the AICC this weekend at Curl Aberdeen in Woodend! The draw is attached so you can see times!
Some of the best mens teams in the world are descending on the city to play against each other in the race to the world mens championships in Canada at the start of April.
There's a bar with coffees, teas, beers, wines and excellent cakes and people you've never heard of sliding stones.
Teams to keep an eye on are Bruce Mouat, current scottish champ & olympic silver medallist, Joel Retournaz of Italy as his moustache a decade ago was excellent[1], Stocker from Switzerland and there's probably other good curling people there too.
Kenny and I might swing in for a drink at some point if anyone else fancies hanging out!

Hi hackers, It's Tuesday again, which means Open Tuesday at 57 North's
hackerspace. If you've not heard of us, 57North get up to a range of
activities on Tuesday nights in our little clubhouse, including (but not
limited to) social contact, programming, manufacturing weird things and
consuming sugary treats. Typically we kick off at 1930. [1] We're
located at: Suite H Kettock Lodge Innovation Park Campus Two Bridge of
Don Aberdeen AB22 8GU There's plenty parking, but if you don't have
transport get in touch either here or IRC and someone may be able to
help you out! If you're new, I'd suggest you bring a laptop, and perhaps
a project you want to work on. If you're not new, shoot a reply to the
list and tell us what you'll be up to, and maybe consider bringing a
friend. If you're coming in before me, please mention! I will be
visiting tonight from some time between 7pm and 730pm until 9-930ish to
play with RTL-SDR and other python stuff See you tonight Wouter 57North

Hi all,
I will heading to space as well, having fun driving through the snow. My
today's project will be tinkering with an rtl-sdr in an attempt to make a
doorbell alert system on my laptop.
I hope to be at space by 700-730pm.

Hi, Hibby.
I'll be in sometime after 9pm with a graphics card for Tom to borrow and
my 'spare' Threadripper PC for Wouter to borrow :-)
See you then,
Tony.

Hi, All.
Sorry, I didn't realise that I've been freeloading without paying my
subs since Jan 2022!
I've just paid in £280 of subs that I owed and sorted out my direct
debit that seems to have decided itself not to work over a year ago.
I can afford to do this after selling my Rockpro64 on eBay yesterday :-)
Yes, I know that Tue are our 'open' nights, but I do want to contribute
properly as a member of 57North.
Bye,
Tony.
