Hiya
I've maybe mentioned this in the space to a few people, but I've been
working on a wee side project that just launched yesterday,
StreetArtAberdeen. Really weird to sort of finish a side project, not
quite sure what happened there.
It's a online visual and geographical catalogue/gallery of street art in
Aberdeen (yea, I know, the name is a bit self explanatory)
Anyway, it's at https://streetartaberdeen.org/
So, I'm sorry for emailing about this, but I'd love to get some feedback
and any ideas folk have. Moving forward it's meant as a collaborative
project with a good number of contributors. The platform may also be
useful for other things too, so I'm keen to get any thoughts on that too.
It's built using the new version of Joomla, and it's all GPL3, code in
github, OpenData etc.
Some hopefully handy links...

- Joomla: https://www.joomla.org/4/
- The system's code in github: https://github.com/SSOFB/StreetArtAberdeen
- Some FAQs I've been writing: https://streetartaberdeen.org/info/faqs
- Some notes and info: https://streetartaberdeen.org/about
Thanks
Andy
Hey
I'll be in around 7pm.
I'll be tinkering with my nearly-ready-to-launch top secret web project.
If you're in, I might press-gang you into trying it out a little, I could
do with some feedback on it, so it's not a one brain in a cave, sort of
thing.
Also I found the LED strips that I need to wire up, they're the annoying
waterproof kind that are a pain to cut and solder, so will probably attack
them a little, for a break from the screen. Might bring in a wee steam
engine that needs a boiler, been meaning to get round to that for ages.
Anyway, see you there if you're coming along.
Cheers
Andy

Hi,
I'll be in the space for a bit today, probably until about half 3 or so.
If you are bored and fancy travelling in the snow I'm happy to be
a little distracted.

Sounds good Nick, I'll be along but may be late. I may try to get some more people along.

Hi all,
I'm a newbie to programming/3D printing and I've had a project in mind for a while- making a bluetooth polytonic greek keyboard.
A unicode block for polytonic greek is available (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_Extended), but as I'm a novice I don't know if this would be helpful for creating my keyboard.
I guess I need help in the following:
1) What to buy
2) 3D printing polytonic greek keycaps
3) Ensuring that what I type on the keyboard comes out as ancient greek on my computer
Any help/guidance on this project would be much appreciated!
Kind Regards,
Jamie
Hi,
I'm 'hardening' up a server, and Tom has done some Pen-Testing for me.
If you have time, please attack:
informatics.plus.com
This is a server I've configured for "noVNC" and "SSH" on obfuscated
ports to keep script-kiddies at bay, but easily discoverable by port
scan. I'm running "fail2ban" on "sshd" and "apache2" services.
I know a bit about defending "SSH", but SFA about defending "Apache".
I'd appreciate any help/advice and will buy beer and/or Club Mate for
anyone who gets in and leaves me a note how to block the attack in:
/root/you_left_the_back_door_open
Thanks,
Tony.

Hi, Midder.
I'll be in with my RockPro64 trying to remember how to use "uboot" :-)
Tony.
Hi
It's Tuesday, so it's 57N open night, we're open already, so come on along
anytime.
Just press the "H" bell at the front door, and someone will come and let
you in. You can usually tell from the twitter, if the space is open, at
https://twitter.com/57northhacklab
All the normal covid stuff applies, y'all know the score by now.
Happy hacking!
Andy
