Despite the pricetag of the print head, I am not opposed to spending funds
on the fixing the plotter.
This machine is certainly beneficial to the community and can unlock the
creative talent in some of us, or just help to create drafts for big
projects.
One concern I have is the spare part. Canon, among other companies have a
bad reputation for using non-genuine part. We want to ensure this is not
affecting us.
But that is a detail.

Does anyone know anywhere else good for printing supplies?
I don't really understand if this is a sort of consumable item, that wears
out, like a laser drum, or if it's just a case of replacing a faulty part.
Anyone have a better understanding of this?

1) How much it is?

As you have probably noticed we have an A0
plotter in the hackerspace.
Unfortunately, is it currently inoperable due to a faulty printhead, a
Canon PF-04.
How would people feel about the hackerspace using its funds to purchase
a new printhead to get this plotter working?
