hello everyone,
the lack of cool buckie, gary and other stickers cannot stand,
especially before emf!
for this i'm planning a diy sticker making session next week during the
open day following the guiede by the c3stoc (c3 sticker operation centre):
https://stickeroperation.center/how-to-sticker/
join with ideas, recommendations, or sticker files you'd like to see!
also, could we do a bulk order via the hacklab?
cheers,
vishnee
Hi Tom
I remember having similar safety issues in other hacklabs. It’s an easy
mistake to make.
For risk mitigation we made it safer by default using a timer socket like
this. (Press the button for 30 minutes of power)
https://cpc.farnell.com/energenie/ener001/automatic-shutdown-timer/dp/PL130…
I’m afraid there’s still no technical solution to the social problem of
hackers being untidy :)
(There may be a technical solution to the existence of landlords but it’s
highly discouraged)

Hi,
Due to medical reasons I need to cancel my attendance at EMF. Before
cancelling it on the EMF website, I wanted to check if any here still wants
a ticket. I can transfer it via the EMF website, at cost price, £180.
Cheers,
Wouter
Hello Hackers,
I'll be in space tomorrow in the mid afternoon for a number of hours. I'm gonna faff at and with some computers and make a light if I can find all the bits
Are you coming in?
- Tom
Hey,
Happy Tuesday, it's open evening again :)
I'll be along from 7:30ish.
There is a bunch of blurb at https://www.57north.org.uk/open-evenings and,
yes, there is a bug in the code on the page that means on Tuesdays it
show's the first date twice, aye, you're welcome :p
There is some sticker making planned...
https://lists.57north.org.uk/mailman3/hyperkitty/list/57north-discuss@lists…
We're at: Suite H, Kettock Lodge Innovation Park, Campus Two Bridge of Don,
Aberdeen, AB22 8GU
Reply if you like, let us know your plans. If you need a hand with
transport, just ask. If you're coming along for the first time, awesome,
maybe bring a laptop or something to tinker with.
See you there.
Andy
Hi,
Has anyone else been receiving suspicious messages claiming to be from
HackLab members?
Are any of you clever enough to stop them?
Messages I have received...
Claiming to be From....
Sean
Robbie
Hibby
Subjects like...
"Sad Announcement"
"Sad News"
"18 Photos"
"Important Update"
I have been receiving the messages for at least a year now - mostly
"from" Sean but from others in the last couple of months.
The thing they have in common is that they _*claim*_ to come from
HackLab members.
I have started taking screen shots before deleting them which might help
you investigate.
I hope they are not a dangerous as I fear and that you can help to stop
them?
Go well,
Mike
Hi team,
I’m gonna be in the space this afternoon for a few hours. Some shit needs gluing down.
I’d love it if you’d drop in and say hello. We can lament together things that should stay still moving and those that should move being stuck.
I’ll be in from sometime after 3
- Tom
