Good day beautiful nerds, 'Tis Tuesday once again, so we will have our weekly open night! If you've not heard of us, 57North get up to a range of activities on Tuesday nights in our little clubhouse, including (but not limited to) social contact, programming, manufacturing weird things and consuming sugary treats. Typically we kick off at 1930. We're located at: Suite H Kettock Lodge Innovation Park Campus Two Bridge of Don Aberdeen AB22 8GU There's plenty parking, but if you don't have transport get in touch either here or IRC and someone may be able to help you out! If you're new, I'd suggest you bring a laptop, and perhaps a project you want to work on. If you're not new, shoot a reply to the list and tell us what you'll be up to, and maybe consider bringing a friend. If you're coming in before me, please mention! I'll be down for 20:00 or so today, I plan to do some bike maintenance and nonsense first. I've not got any directed plans but I'll be social and faff around with something no doubt. Might actually debianise the chromebook again, i couldn't be hooped last week. 13th Consular Convention for Control & Prohibition of Pandemics

Hi everyone, This Friday (19th) is the third Friday of the month and so at 8pm we will be having the thirteenth Consular Convention for Control & Prohibition of Pandemics on WorkAdventure/Jitsi [1]. Everyone is invited to turn up, have a few lemonades and shoot the breeze. This is an informal catchup for 57North members and Scottish Consulate diaspora around the world; a continuation of our regular lockdown video calls. I'll be in, likely drinking mate and wondering why the Raspberry Pi I set up isn't setting the default gateway to be the space network but the local port it's got a static IP on. I'll probably clean my bike brakes too. Before I come in, I'm going to point my pointy antenna south and see if I can hear anyone in the UK 432MHz activity contests [1]. If you've not heard of us, we get up to a range of activities on Tuesday nights, including but not limited to social contact, programming, manufacturing weird things and consuming sugary treats. I'll be in, likely drinking mate and diagnosing/fixing the dead HDD in my server - I have now got SSH access to the ILO port so I can turn it off when not in use instead of noise polluting (and using approximately 60W) when idling! Morning all! Another Openday has come round, as it always does. We typically start around 7.30pm and finish at midnight at our location in Unit H, Kettock Lodge, Campus Two, Innovation Park, AB22 8GU. Feel free to invite a friend. I should imagine I'll be down the hill for 730, I might be on the radio then, I might not bother. I need to remember to take the jigsaw home this time, then I can finalise install of my dishwasher.
