ASC WEEKLY NEWSLETTER ------------------------- News from Fri 16-May-2025 A Late Email this week, but we have the usual smorgasbord of events, and a new shiny format for the newsletter. SPSC is Celebrating 77 years Since the start of the Nakba in Palestine with a Protest in front of the art gallery where they still promote BP who have the largest share in the BTC pipeline which provides Israel with most of their Crude Oil to be refined for the fighter jets, which the UK also provide parts for, currently engaged in bombing Gaza. We also just had another great meeting by The Marxist Caucus discussing the response to the rise of Reform and reactionary politics in the UK and Scotland, look for more from them. We will be touring the city with Nakba messages and symbols of right of return starting outside the Art Gallery at 12noon. After the tour we will reconvene at 1pm at City Wharf, Shiprow AB115BY for a special Nakba exhibition and film.screening. We're delighted to collaborate with Aberdeen Social Centre for the Radical Cafe with an eclectic mix of Scottish and Palestinian refreshments, from 1-3pm. We hope that you can join us to mark this important day for the Palestinian people. Every week we have our Radical Cafe. a space to meet and build those connections with local activists. Vegan treats will be provided from Vegan Bay Bakery! Also we regularly have Zapatista Coffee.
