Message from our colleagues: The Friends of St Fittick's Park -
It's very likely Aberdeen City Council will decide on ETZ planning
application next Thursday (7th November), so we're doing everything we
can to build pressure on the committee to reject proposals for St
Fittick's park. We would really appreciate if you can share the e-action
and details of the demo being organised for the Council meeting, as well
as sharing/liking various social media posts we have and will put out in
the lead up.
E-Action/Letter
The Friends of St Fittick's Park need your help to protect Torry's last
accessible greenspace from industrialisation by ETZ Ltd. We need as many
people as possible to write to Aberdeen's planning committee before the
7th November when it's likely they will decide on ETZ Ltd planning
application for the park. We have to tell them to reject the ETZ for the
park because the impact will be irreversible; the health impact
assessment is unreliable; the flooding risks have been underestimated,
and community mental health and wellbeing has not been prioritised.
You can do this easily by clicking the link to take part in our e-action
where an email will be sent on your behalf to all planning committee
members. Alternatively, we invite people to send their own emails to the
committee, we still suggest to use the arguments used in the E-Action
letter.

Demo for 7th November
To mark a monumental day for the future of the park, Friends of St
Fittick's Park will be hosting a demo before the committee meeting. This
will be from 9am on the 7th November, initially congregating outside
Marischal College. We invite supporters to wear blue (but not essential)
to symbolise the flood waters are rising in the park (one reason for the
Council to reject plans) as well as showing councillors there is a
'wave' of people who support the campaign to protect the park.
