Yo,
We had a quick chat in signal again (are you in signal? You should be in signal!) and a daytime session in the hacklab on Sunday will happen again. Core hours will be "Morning til we all leave".
Come along and hang out, bring something to drink, we can order food or walk out to the chipper or something to get away from the toys for a bit.
I'll be around probably 1pm til 6ish - I'll likely set up the HF radio to do some data and such - there's a new version of WSJTX released I've not played with yet.
Also kenny got me a toy at emf 2024 that needs some 3d printing as a prerequisite so I might take it out the box and start that.
Are you coming? tell us when and what you're doing!
Cheers,
Hibby

Yo,
We had a quick chat in signal last night (are you in signal? You should be in signal!) and a daytime session in the hacklab at the weekend would be good.
It looks like most folks will be available Sunday with core hours being "Morning til 4pm".
Come along and hang out, bring something to drink, we can order food or if the weather looks good someone could bbq something 👀.
I'll be around probably early afternoon til 6ish, got some Debian backlog to clear and I'll likely set up the radio to do some data and such - there's a new version of WSJTX released! I've also got some 3d printing to do that I keep putting off.
Cheers,
Hibby

campGND returns 5th-7th June 2026 and you're invited! We'll be in the
usual field near Forgue. If you don't know where this is, we can help you find
it!
What is campGND?
Simply - the Hackerspace goes camping. We like to go somewhere with
very few amenities (and poor connectivity). You should bring whatever
you need to survive, a project to hack on/make/play with and some
stuff to burn too.
You need to register for a ticket at https://ti.to/campgnd/campgnd-2026
You do not need to be a member of the hackerspace, the weekend is open
to all of our friends.
You do not need to be camping with us to participate - you're welcome
to come by on Saturday, hang out, drink coffee, eat lunch and/or
dinner then head home to the comfort of your own home!
If you don't have kit, the hackerspace and its members have some spare you'll
be able to borrow too!
Once again, the kitchen will be running - it's in need of volunteers
to cook, clean and create/lead meals. We are planning for both
omnivorous and vegetarian food this year. We are asking for a
suggested donation of £50 per person to participate in the communal
kitchen for the full weekend, and a reduced donation of £35 if you're
bringing your own food. If this will be a barrier to you coming, email

Hi
I hope your Tuesday is good! I have been staring at spreadsheets and getting some pedantry out my system.
It's open evening at the hackspace today, so there will be all sorts of hacking and making occuring in the space, and other adjacent activities.
We're at:
Suite H Kettock Lodge
Innovation Park
Campus Two
Bridge of Don
Aberdeen
AB22 8GU
There is sort of useful info on:
https://www.57north.org.uk/open-eveningshttps://www.57north.org.uk/contact.
Press buzzer H and someone will come and let you in after a wee wait.
Reply if you have any questions, if you want to share your plans, or if you'd like a lift.
I'll be in around 8, doing some things and stuff. I'll probably bring the fursuit as I need to repair one of his sandals and can offer you a warm fluffy hug if you feel like you need one.
Reply and share your plans if you like!
Cheers

I should make it along today. Will probably be looking at my TODO list for EMF and trying not to panic. It's still 4 months away, there is plenty of time to do all the things...

Fit like!
Hope you're well. I see it's still raining. Let's make the best of a damp situation and get together in our treehouse.
It's opening evening today, hope you can make it along. Things occuring will most likely include tea/coffee/beer drinking, tinkering, hacking, chatting, chavin, making, soldering, looking for things, making mess and tidying.

I'll be in around 730pm, microwaving food, maybe 3d printing and definitely making some fursuit sandals so my idiot fox can walk outside without getting his toebeans muddy.

The weather's not really suited to us congregating in Bridge of Don this fair evening, so let's perhaps not!
Unless you're a member and want to go in, but I bet it'll be cold and lonely!

See you there :)

Hi everyone,
This Friday (21st) is the third Friday of the month and so at 8pm we
will be having the thirty-ninth Consular Convention for Control &
Prohibition of Pandemics on Jitsi [1].
Everyone is invited to turn up, have a few lemonades and shoot the
breeze. This is an informal catchup for 57North members and Scottish
Consulate diaspora around the world.
Hope to see you on Jitsi this Friday at 8pm Aberdeen time.
Cheers,
Nick
