ABERDEEN BUTCH CLUB Meeting Room ABERDEEN BUTCH CLUB Friday October 3rd 18:00-20:00 BST Build kinship and solidarity with other butch lesbians (age 18+) DEMONSTRATION FOR GAZA External SCOTTISH PALESTINE SOLIDARITY CAMPAIGN Saturday October 4th 11:00-13:00 BST Weekly Demonstration in Support of Palestine, fighting ethnic-cleansing, apartheid, genocide and colonialism. the location will be called in the week before each Saturday. RADICAL CAFE Meeting Room ABERDEEN SOCIAL CENTRE Saturday October 4th 13:00-15:00 BST Our weekly Radical Cafe, a space to meet and build those connections with local activists, come along for convivial chat, a look at the new books in the swap and shop, and meet other people active in the city. We are also Saddened to hear of the passing of Steven from the Vegan Bay Bakery who supported us so well with cakes every week, our hearts go out to his family, and we'll greatly miss the butteries. So until we source a new supply the cafe will be asking for home-bakes, you can bring butteries, cakes or whatever else you can rustle up for the overworked activists of Aberdeen. ABERDEEN ANTI-FASCIST DEMO External ABERDEEN ANTI FASCIST ALLIANCE Sunday October 5th 14:00-17:00 BST They are back shouting at a hotel in Westhill again. This week our theme is "Bring the Noise!" There may even be prizes for the loudest / most interesting noise maker! READING GROUP Meeting Room Online THE MUTUAL IMPROVEMENT UNION Sunday October 5th 19:00-20:30 BST A reading group collectively selecting short text to read and discuss, the reading could be anything from a news article, blog post, pamphlet to a short play. The names comes from a similar reading group from the 19th century with the intention to educate the community on socialism and understanding the modern world.
