Just a brief message and reminder, that the Scottish Maps Forum is hosting a free talk by Humphrey Welfare next Thursday 1 September at 17.00.

 

William Roy and the Military Survey of Scotland

 

The talk is in connection with Humphrey’s new biography - General William Roy, 1726-1790: Father of the Ordnance Survey. This will be published next week too by Edinburgh University Press: https://edinburghuniversitypress.com/book-general-william-roy-1726-1790.html
