Hi
I've decided I need to bite the bullet and re-learn some CAD skills.
I did quite a lot of CAD at Uni, but that was about 25 years ago, with AutoCAD 12, AutoCAD 13, 3D Studio 4 and 3D Studio Max. At this point, apart from general 3D drawing skills, that's of little help now really, between knowledge decay and differences in software.
So I've been looking at Linux 3D packages, what do folk use, generally? I've looked at FreeCAD and LibreCAD, but I'm not sure what's best to start with.
It'd mostly be for drawing simple shapes for 3D printing, and for modifying download STL designs.
What would be best? Where is best to start?
Any help, advice, tips or pointers would be awesome.
Thanks
Andy
