I’m aware of the process, but the approval should have been sought *before* Nick spent
money because according to our articles the money cannot be paid unless there is an
approval (I think we changed it to not need GPG at the last AGM but could be wrong). The
chance that the spend not be approved is very real, all that would need to happen is for
no other director to respond to the email with the approval. I’m sure that won’t happen,
but maybe the articles should be changed to be about not committing the hackerspace to
spending without approval rather than approval for the specific function of the bank
transfer. Just something for the next AGM.

Hi
This email was just really sent as a formality, as agreed between directors. So one
director emails the list for approval, so another could approve it signed with gpg.
Kind of like how you'd make a pull request in git and ask a fellow team member to
approve and merge.
There was never any chance we'd not honour commitments to pay things previously
arranged.
Hope that helps explain the process, and email thread.
Cheers

This is a very broken process if we can now just
leave Nick without payment because we don’t approve it.

Hi
Just an email for approval of spending £466.89 on the final payment on
the new big text. Funds to Nick.
Thanks
Andy
