'Tis Tuesday again, so we will have our weekly open night, I should be down for about 7:30! If you've not heard of us, we get up to a range of activities on Tuesday nights, including but not limited to social contact, programming, manufacturing weird things and consuming sugary treats. We're located at: Suite H Kettock Lodge Innovation Park Campus Two Bridge of Don Aberdeen AB22 8GU There's plenty parking, but if you don't have transport get in touch either here or IRC and someone may be able to help you out! If you're new, I'd suggest you bring a laptop, and perhaps a project you want to work on. If you're not new, shoot a reply to the list and tell us what you'll be up to, and maybe consider bringing a friend. I'll be in, likely drinking mate and diagnosing/fixing the dead HDD in my server - I have now got SSH access to the ILO port so I can turn it off when not in use instead of noise polluting (and using approximately 60W) when idling! I'll also be enthusing about chromeOS and probably ham radio satellites too. Hx -- Hibby MM0RFN

Morning all! Another Openday has come round, as it always does. We typically start around 7.30pm and finish at midnight at our location in Unit H, Kettock Lodge, Campus Two, Innovation Park, AB22 8GU. Feel free to invite a friend. I should imagine I'll be down the hill for 730, I might be on the radio then, I might not bother. I need to remember to take the jigsaw home this time, then I can finalise install of my dishwasher. 12th Consular Convention for Control & Prohibition of Pandemics

Hi everyone, This Friday (15th) is the third Friday of the month and so at 8pm we will be having the twelfth Consular Convention for Control & Prohibition of Pandemics on WorkAdventure/Jitsi [1]. I got the link right for a change. Everyone is invited to turn up, have a few lemonades and shoot the breeze. This is an informal catchup for 57North members and Scottish Consulate diaspora around the world; a continuation of our regular lockdown video calls. Mailing Lists Triaged

Hello friends, I think I've got the mailing lists triaged to the point where they're working at the moment (and no data is lost). We're on a database that isn't sqlite, so hopefully the blocking issue has gone away, and my inbox is full of some errors from testing earlier but honestly I hope that's just me confusing the system by bouncing between configs. If you've got this email, that's a great sign. It'd be fantastic if you could reply to 57north-discuss(a)lists.57north.org.uk to confirm this! If you're not subscribed there, that would also be helpful! If you're an expert at SPF and/or DKIM, that might also come helpful, or perhaps you can tell us why it isn't - these are things I've heard of surrounding email but never actually used so far. I tried SPF earlier and broke DNS across all our machines, so it's not *that* easy! I think there are a few folk I manually signed up who are subscribed, and might not have an 'account' to play with settings - it'd be worth heading over to the webui here [1] and seeing if that is the case Hopefully this gets the Tuesday emails out once again and we can all trust the system a bit more.
